The camera really should follow you if you make another game like this - I get what you were trying to do, though. I think. Nice to see some blasts from the oh-so-recent past. Should add in some achivements. It's also like one of those 'go the distance' type games.
Ok I got to the angel
And then just white and that's it. I don't get it. No medals unlocked either. Just that. The end. Fair gameplay, but that upside-down stuff made the jumping puzzles more difficult than they needed to be. Also sometimes I'd jump on a critter and i'd be the one to take damage or both of us would take damage. I'm assuming that's a bug but I don't know.
how about adding more customizability - allowing there to be several different end results. I mean the whole modularity look you've got going on with this is the big selling point I think.
that second boss
way too tough to dodge him, somehow get him to throw spear, pick up spear, throw spear, grab sword, hit, and watch for him to come out of it and try and jump when he's stomping. Promising game otherwise.
If you're game is so complex people can't figure it out without a wlakthrough, it may be time to reevaluate how you're providing information to the player.
Also is Hansel supposed to be retarded or something?
10 fucking years later
And people are still being cunts about 9/11. Did we cry like a bunch of bitches 10 years after pearl harbor? 10 years after the war of 1812? No, we got on with lives. We don't need to remember 9/11 because the assholes on TV do it all the time.
You weren't around back then
It's kind of difficult to tell when you should jump, and the game eventually started moving so fast I couldn't mentally keep up. Good for people with quicker brains than mine.
Way better than the first game
The Idea - You have a good idea - The Narcolyxii seem like an interesting alien race, biologically malovelant etc.
Basic Gameplay - While it could still use a lot of refinement and polish, basic gameplay feels like it could be fun with more variables and options
Lacking in Variety - It's just one room and 4 weapons.
Buggy - The adult aliens are especially buggy for me. I didn't even kill one, it disappeared, and no more are spawning at all. Next time, I goy put up against an alien that couldn't be hit with weapons. But everything has a possible 'disappearing' bug that seems to be triggered by my movement.
The Graphics. while I like the design of the adult aliens, the art is just really crude.
Yeah, it's like dead space/metroid..
But the story's an almost carbon copy from Event Horizon. 7/10 for cool gameplay, and while I understand the urge to tribute, to play with what if we mix X and Y and Z into a game, there needs to be original content.
The whole 'yellow' thing seems like original content, and although it's from the hell dimension, there was an effort to give them a twisted sort of alien beauty that people might actually see as divine and not infernal.
One mechanics gripe - the slide function needs to be able to be activated/deavtivated on the final suit.
No Idea how to open any of the other doors that don't have switches, got to more than human but even there a couple of the jumps are impossible.
Good basis for an expanded sequal - simple but this is really something you could build on.
